Ellie Kettler, LMSW

Ellie is a licensed clinical therapist dedicated to guiding individuals through emotional challenges and empowering them to cultivate fulfilling lives. With a warm and approachable demeanor, Ellie incorporates humor and genuineness into her therapeutic approach, fostering a comfortable environment for clients aged 16 and up grappling with emotional dysregulation, anxiety, complex trauma, life transitions, and more.
Her journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Community Health from the University of Maryland, College Park, followed by a Master's in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Social Work. Drawing from her extensive training and experience, Ellie employs a personalized and holistic approach to therapy, integrating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. Her sessions are characterized by authenticity, where clients see her not just as a therapist, but as a relatable ally who truly comprehends their experiences.
With a diverse background spanning outpatient care, psychiatric rehabilitation programs (PRP), residential treatment centers, and inpatient units, Ellie brings a wealth of expertise to her practice. She has undergone comprehensive DBT training from the Treatment Implementation Collaborative, Intensive DBT PE training by Melanie Harned, and continues to receive mentorship and supervision from Amanda Pezzanite, LCSW-C, and DBT-Linehan Certified Clinician.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ellie cherishes moments with her goldendoodle companion, Penny. She finds joy in solving escape rooms, listening to podcasts, indulging in reality television, and exploring thrift stores.
