Insurance & Payments

We are out-of-network providers and do not process insurance paperwork. We can provide documentation for you to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company. Please check with your insurance company about your out-of-network benefits.

At DBT Maryland we utilize SimplePractice, an online practice management program. With SimplePractice’s client portal, you can fill out intakes, request appointments, send messages, and more, from a secure client portal.

FAQs

We do not. We are an out of network provider which means that we do not participate with any insurance plans, including Medicaid or Medicare. We will provide you with a superbill on the 10th of each month for the month prior that lists all the services provided. You can submit this superbill to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have “Out of Network” benefits under your insurance. You will need to contact your insurance directly to find out how much they will cover.

Initially, clients commit to a minimum of 6 months of treatment, which would include the weekly DBT skills group and weekly individual sessions. Near the end of these 6 months, clients review their progress with their individual therapist and skills leaders. If the client and treatment team feels that the program has been helpful in attaining goals and the client wants to continue, they can recontract for another 6 months of treatment.

Our groups usually have 7 or fewer participants, with the maximum being 8. For our multi-family groups, we have a maximum of ten participants (which could be three to five families, depending on how many parents each teen has participating with them in the group).

All of our clinicians are LGBTQIA+ affirming. Several of our therapists have experience and special interests in working with clients who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

We do not provide medication management. We do collaborate with clients’ psychiatrists.
